Birmingham-Southern president to lead session at AAC&U annual meeting

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern President Dr. David Pollick will lead a session entitled “The Council of Europe's Transnational Project: A Leverage Point or Educating for Social Responsibility” at the Association of American Colleges and Universities annual meeting Jan. 18 in New Orleans. The topic of this year's annual meeting is “The Real Test: Liberal Education and Democracy's Big Questions.”

The Association of American Colleges and Universities is the leading national association concerned with the quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education. Founded in 1915 by college presidents, AAC&U now represents the entire spectrum of American colleges and universities. It comprises more than 1,000 accredited institutions that collectively educate more than 5 million students every year.
