Birmingham-Southern College president to be heard locally on NPR program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—BSC President Dr. David Pollick can be heard on “America Abroad,” which will air this Saturday, Nov. 4, at noon CST on local public radio station WBHM. The program will include a discussion panel which took place prior to The American Interest Outreach Symposium in the Norton Campus Center Theatre on Oct. 19.

Moderator for the discussion panel was Birmingham attorney Frank M. Young III, chairman of the Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations and a member of the BSC Norton Board of Advisors. In addition to President Pollick, guest speakers included Raymond Baker, AI, author of Capitalism's Achilles Heel; William Bell, former Birmingham mayor and current city councilor; Adam Garfinkle, editor-in-chief of AI; and Frank Fukuyama, chairman of the editorial board of AI.

The topic was “America in the World, the Bush Doctrine and Beyond.”
