Birmingham-Southern receives CASE gold medal for innovative commercial spots

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Council for Advancement and Support of Education has named Birmingham-Southern College a gold medal winner of its 2006 Circle of Excellence awards program. The college was recognized for its “Arrive” television promotions airing in recent months. The award was announced at the recent national CASE conference.

BSC developed its “Arrive” television promotions in collaboration with Birmingham marketing firm FitzMartin.

A panel of experts selected the institution's entry in the Public Service Announcements and Commercial Spots category from a number of entries. Overall, nearly 700 institutions from around the world submitted more than 3,100 entries in this year's Circle of Excellence awards program.

Gold, silver, and bronze awards may be given in 40 categories. Judges have the option of giving no awards, and they may also recognize exceptional entries with a grand gold award.
