BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Peter Donahue, associate professor of English at Birmingham-Southern, is the recipient of the Richebourg Gaillard McWilliams Faculty Scholarship Award presented during the college’s 2006 Honors Day Convocation.
The award, which includes a $2,500 cash stipend, is named for the former English professor who taught at BSC for more than 40 years. It is given to an outstanding member of the faculty based upon recommendations by his or her colleagues.
Donahue joined the Birmingham-Southern faculty in 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, a master’s degree from Virginia Tech, and a doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University. |
