BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College will host the 65th Annual National Exhibition of the Watercolor Society of Alabama May 28-June 27 on the college's campus in the Durbin Gallery, Kennedy Art Center/Azar Art Studios. The exhibit will be open to the public, and gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. It will open with a reception on Sunday, May 28, in the Durbin Gallery at 3 p.m.
The first-time collaborative exhibition will be composed of works by some 71 watercolor artists from across the nation. Paintings by Juror Mary Alice Braukman will be included.
The Watercolor Society of Alabama, a non-profit corporation founded in 1940, exists to educate the public of the significance of watercolor as an important creative painting medium.
