BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College President G. David Pollick has been elected to the board of directors of The Council of Independent Colleges. The announcement of 11 new board members, including Pollick, was made at the 2006 Presidents Institute awards banquet held recently in Naples, Fla.
CIC is the major national service organization for small and mid-sized independent liberal arts colleges and universities in the U.S. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2006.
