Birmingham-Southern College elects 2006 Homecoming Queen and court

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Kate Chandler of Daphne was crowned the 2006 Birmingham-Southern College Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of the men's Homecoming basketball game against conference rival Winthrop Feb. 25.

Chandler, a senior business major, is the daughter of Jeff and Cindy Chandler. She was selected in a campus-wide vote of the student body.

Named senior attendants during the Homecoming festivities were Marae Bernard of Lafayette, La., a biology major and the daughter of Brian and Claire Bernard, and Ashton Thompson, a political science major from Birmingham ( North Shelby) and the daughter of William and Adrienne Thompson.

Junior attendants were Stephanie Boucher, a business administration/pre-med major from Opelika and the daughter of Steve and Lynne Boucher, and Penney Patterson, a sociology/psychology major from Fairhope and the daughter of Robert and Randi Patterson.

Sophomore attendants were Jamie Webb, a biology/psychology major from Covington, La., and the daughter of Leo and Phyllis Webb, and Mary Page Wilson, a pre-med/religion major from Albertville and the daughter of David and Mary Lynne Wilson.

Freshman attendants were Claire Anderson, a biology major from Louisville, Miss., and the daughter of Steve and Sherry Anderson, and Jordan Hardy, a business administration major from Sylacauga and the daughter of Don and Linda Hardy.
