BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Kent Andersen, instructor of English at Birmingham-Southern College, has been presented with an Exemplary Teaching Award by the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry of the United Methodist Church.
The award is presented annually to a BSC professor who is “characterized by excellence in teaching; civility and concern for students and colleagues; commitment to value-centered education; and service to students, the institution, the community, or the church.”
Joining the Birmingham-Southern College faculty in 2000, Andersen holds a bachelor's degree in English from Iowa State University and a master's degree in literature from American University. |
