Birmingham-Southern professor gets debut novel published

BIRMINGHAM , Ala.—Peter Donahue, associate professor of English at Birmingham-Southern College, has published Madison House with Hawthorne Books. The debut novel will be released in paperback in November 2005.

Donahue is also co-editor of the anthology of Seattle prose Reading Seattle: The City in Prose and author of the short-story collection The Cornelius Arms. His stories have appeared in more than 25 literary magazines. His literary awards include first place in the OSU Short Fiction award and two Pushcart nominations.

Donahue, who joined the BSC faculty in 1999, earned his doctorate in English/creative writing from Oklahoma State University.
