BIRMINGHAM, ALA.— Birmingham-Southern College is preparing to kick off it its 2005 Homecoming celebration, scheduled for Feb. 14-19 on campus.
The week of activities will begin Monday, Feb. 14, when the BSC women's basketball team faces Virginia's Liberty University at 8 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum. The game will be televised on Comcast Cable Sports Southeast.
Other Homecoming events include a spirit competition, Movie-Night-Out, sorority/ fraternity house decorating contest, and an afternoon of inflatable games for students. A bonfire will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 7-9 p.m. in the coliseum parking lot.
BSC women's tennis and baseball will be spotlighted Friday, Feb. 18, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the college's tennis complex and then at 3 p.m. at the Scrushy-Striplin Field.
The week will conclude Saturday, Feb. 19, with a men's basketball game against Big South Conference opponent Virginia Military Institute. The game begins at 7 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum. The 2005 BSC Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime.
