BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Two Birmingham-Southern
students were semi-finalists in the National Association of Teachers
of Singing state auditions
held recently in Tuscaloosa.
Semi-finalists from Birmingham-Southern were:
Katie Hall, a voice major from Opelika and daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hall Jr., semi-finalist in the junior college
women
category, and Erin Wakeman, a voice major from Mobile and daughter
of Robert Wakeman II and Janice Hunter, semi-finalist in the
sophomore college women category. Both Hall and Wakeman currently
study with
Dr. Jacqueline Leary-Warsaw, assistant professor of music at
BSC.
Some 250 students from across Alabama participated in the
