BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Dr. Natwarlal
Bosmia, a longtime Birmingham-Southern mathematics professor,
died earlier today at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was 50.
Bosmia joined the Birmingham-Southern
faculty in 1982 after receiving his doctoral degree in statistics
from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He earned
a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's
in mathematics from Gujarat University in Gujarat, India,
and a master's in statistics from Southern Methodist
University.

to our Birmingham-Southern family,” said BSC |

President Dr. Neal R. Berte. “Bos was a wonderful
person, dedicated teacher, and beloved member of our community.
He will be missed by all of us.”
Arrangements are incomplete at this
time. The family has asked that a scholarship be established
at Birmingham-Southern College in Bosmia's memory.
