Birmingham-Southern College Homecoming one big ‘Panther Party'

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College's 2003 Homecoming celebration, “One Great Big Panther Party,” is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15, on campus.

The day's activities include three athletic events. The BSC baseball team will play Lipscomb University at 1 p.m. on Scrushy-Striplin Field. The BSC women's basketball team will play Radford University at 5:30 p.m., followed by the BSC men's basketball team vs. Elon University at 7:30 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum.

The 2003 Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime of the men's basketball game.

“We are excited about having our alumni back on campus to celebrate,” said Peggy Hair, BSC alumni affairs director. “This is the first year that we've had three athletic events on Homecoming—men's and women's basketball games and a baseball game. We have reserved a special section for alumni at the men's basketball game and we'll recognize alumni who are past athletes, cheerleaders, dancers, mascots, pep band members, and homecoming queens and their courts,” she said.
