BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-A state-of-the-college
address will highlight an Anniston area gathering in November of
Birmingham-Southern College alumni and friends.
The Tuesday, Nov. 12, event at The Donoho School
begins at 6:30 p.m. in the school's library. Dr. Neal R. Berte,
in his 26th year as president of Birmingham-Southern, will present
a "21st Century" report on college activities.
The buffet reception is being sponsored by the
college and an Anniston Area Host Committee. For reservations, contact

Prior to the 6:30 p.m. alumni event, college admission
representatives will entertain prospective students and their parents
at The Donoho School cafetorium beginning at 5:30 p.m. to answer
questions about Birmingham-Southern's academic opportunities and
admission requirements, among other things.
Birmingham-Southern College receives consistently
high rankings as one of America's top national liberal arts colleges.
The institution began its 147th academic year in August.
