    • Birmingham-Southern College musical to compete in regional festival
      BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-The Birmingham-Southern College production of Hamlet: The Musical has been selected to compete in Region IV of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival February 6-9 at Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C.

    • Award-winning Birmingham-Southern students to perform with Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra
      BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Four student winners of the second annual Whittington Competition at Birmingham-Southern College will perform with the Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra on Sunday, February 17, at 3 p.m. in BSC's Hill Recital Hall.

    • Johnson joins Birmingham-Southern as multicultural affairs director
      BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Dr. Rushton Johnson has joined Birmingham-Southern College as director of multicultural affairs.

      Prior to joining BSC, he served as director of student activities for Stillman College.
      He received his bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern and his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Alabama.
