Birmingham-Southern College is excited to welcome the Class of 2024 for Commencement exercises on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Many more details will be shared with graduates and their families soon; thank you for your patience as we work through all necessary decisions to ensure a safe and healthy celebration for everyone involved.

COMMENCEMENT EXPO
April 3-4

Pick up caps and gowns, complete financial requirements, check your student accounts, and more. Students should complete student loan exit counseling (if applicable) before the Expo.

BACCALAUREATE CEREMONY
Thursday, May 23, 10:00 AM at Canterbury UMC

CAPPING
Thursday, May 23, 3:00 PM in Bill Battle Coliseum

Seniors should wear their caps and gowns.

Please check in with your capper in Norton Great Hall between 2:15 and 2:45 PM. Check in will close at 2:45 PM, sharp.

Seniors and their cappers will line up in Norton Great Hall for the processional to Bill Battle Coliseum at 2:50 PM.

COMMENCEMENT

ACCESSIBILITY: Those needing handicapped access will be able to park in reserved spaces in front of the Coliseum and enter through the lower level or the handicap ramp near Student Services. We will have officers and ushers to guide you to the appropriate locations and signs posted in many locations. General parking will be available in the library parking lot and surrounding areas.

PHOTOGRAPHY: A professional photographer will take pictures. Exact details for the locations of those pictures remain to be decided. Following Commencement, graduates will receive information at their BSC email about the pictures and how to view and order them. Videos of commencement will not be available. Graduates may access their photos at https://thegradteam.com/bsc/

LIVESTREAM: Guests who are not attending will be able to view the ceremony livestream at www.bsc.edu.
