Southern Diversity Delegate

General Overview

Birmingham-Southern's Southern Diversity Delegate is a male or female student who serves as the primary spokesperson for the Office of Multicultural Affairs on issues of diversity. He or she works cooperatively with the Office of Multicultural Affairs to sponsor cultural programs, promote community building, and facilitate cross-cultural understanding within the Birmingham-Southern College Community. The Southern Diversity Delegate serves as chair of the Multicultural Advisory Committee and regularly participates in multicultural programs.

Selection of the Southern Diversity Delegate is held during spring term.
