Freshman Honors Community

(Hanson Residence Hall)

Students who are accepted into the Harrison Honors Program may elect to live in the Hanson Honor’s Community. While living in the Honors Community is not a requirement to be a member of the Harrison Honor’s Program, most freshman honor’s students chose to live in the Community. Members of the community share the common goals of academic excellence and intellectual curiosity. Members also strive to be active and responsible members of the residential community. While the foundation to reach these goals is provided inside of the classroom, students who live in the Honors Community make a commitment to strive for these goals inside and outside of the classroom.

Freshman Honors Community

The Honors Community activities may be intellectual and/or social. Whenever possible, Honors Faculty are invited to participate in events. Examples of activities are:

If you are interested in joining the Honors Community, you will have the opportunity to indicate your interest when you complete the online housing application. If you have already completed the application and would like to live in the Honors Community, please contact the Office of Residence Life (reslife@bsc.edu;205-226-4726)
