Counseling and Health Services

College can cause stress on the mind and the body. Our goal is to help you learn to find balance between the demands around you--and to help you stay healthy so you can experience academic success. Stop by or call to schedule an appointment and let us prepare you to explore this chapter in your life.

What we do:

Health Services helps students maintain a healthy body and lifestyle. We can diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries, manage chronic health conditions, conduct lab testing and allergy injections, provide information about sexually transmitted infections and contraception, and administer seasonal vaccinations. Personal care is provided by a full-time RN plus a visiting family medicine physician.

Counseling helps students manage temporary or ongoing challenges--some large, some small. We offer individual and group counseling, consultations, off-campus referrals, and educational programming. We can assist with a broad range of issues, including homesickness, time management, stress management, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and a variety of other concerns. Care is provided by two full-time professional counselors who are also on-call if a crisis arises.

Your privacy is important. Health Services follows federal health and higher education guidelines (HIPAA and FERPA) to ensure student privacy is protected. All visits and health records are confidential. Counseling keeps records in accordance set forth by the American Counseling Association and by state law; your counselor can explain the details.
