Day Camps

Most full-day camps operate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; half-day camps also are available for some programs.

Panther Baseball School

June 2-6
Ages 7-18
Youth can enjoy a fun, action-packed week of instruction and baseball games at the college’s Striplin Field. The camp is designed to help individual campers improve their skills in a fun and energetic environment. With a great staff of college and high school baseball coaches, we will provide expert instruction to each child and ensure that their experience is a great one. Call 205/226-4797 for more information and to register.


Track and Field-Pole Vault Weekend Camp

June 6-8, Friday through Sunday
Sixth graders through age 18
This pole vault camp will teach boys and girls the basic technical skills necessary to vault high. Campers who have never vaulted before are welcome. Leading the camp will be Lars Porter, head coach of BSC cross country and track and field, and Brad Smith, BSC assistant coach and indoor/outdoor SEC pole vault champion. Each camper will receive two free meals and a T-shirt. Poles will not be provided; please check with your local high school. For more information and to register, call 205/226-7780.

Rising high school freshman through seniors
The camp teaches fundamentals for skill players (QB, RB, WR, LB, DB) for each offensive and defensive position. The last practice of the day will include competitions between the offensive and defensive lines. For more information and to register, call 205/226-7802.

Get ready before the Junior Olympics begin! Whether a novice or a seasoned competitor, this camp will teach youth how to run better and faster. Camp instructors are Lars Porter, BSC head coach of cross country and track and field, and Mark Everett, BSC assistant track and field coach and former Olympian. 7-on-7 Team Passing Football Camp

July 21-22
Rising high school freshman through seniors
This camp is a 7-on-7 team passing camp where teams will be placed in groups and play games in “round robin” play. The records for this league play will determine the seeding for the tournament. Coed All Sports Day Camp

Led by BSC Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse Emily Thomas and BSC Head Baseball Coach Jan Weisberg, the college’s first annual All Sports Camp will offer children a unique opportunity to develop their athletic skills. The camp’s five-day session in July is designed to introduce boys and girls to several different sports and activities, with an emphasis on fun and games.
