Alumni Chapters
Chapters are organized in more than 36 cities and regions across the nation. Alumni volunteers are engaged in chapter activities including assisting with student recruitment, service projects, and cultural and social events.Alumni Publications
'Southern magazine is the publication for alumni and friends of Birmingham-Southern. Distributed three times a year, 'Southern includes information about the college and news about individual alumni, friends, and faculty.From the Hilltop, your monthly e-newsletter, provides quick, concise information on the most recent and upcoming campus events and announcements.
BSC AlumNet - The New Alumni Online Community
As a graduate of the college, you may retain your student e-mail address until December 31, 2005. In December, the Alumni Office launched a new online community to serve alumni. As an alumnus or alumna of the college, you now have a secure password protected site to update your information in an online alumni directory and to search for news and directory information on classmates and other BSC friends. The Birmingham-Southern Alumni Association provides a BSC parking decal for each graduate of the college. This decal replaces your student decal and identifies you as a member of the college community. To get an alumni decal for your car, contact the Alumni Office at alumni@bsc.edu. The Alumni Office will need your name, class year, and current license tag number to issue your new decal.Library/Fitness Center
When visiting the campus, alumni may use the resources of the college library and the Striplin Fitness Center. Your alumni car decal number serves as your Alumni I.D. number when using the Fitness Center.Transcripts

The BSC Alumni Association and You
The Alumni Association is your college family both on the Hilltop and wherever you may be living.
Quick History
The first alumni president was elected in 1892 at Southern University, which merged with Birmingham College in 1918. Dr. J.M. Malone, an alumnus and faculty member, was the first staff member given responsibility for the college’s male alumni, serving as Roster Secretary from 1922-1924. In 1933, BSC alumnae formed a sister organization to the predominately male Alumni Association. In 1938, the two groups merged to form what is now the BSC Alumni Association. Information on the Association and its board of directors can be found on the college’s alumni web site. Alumni volunteers serve in leadership positions representing and serving alumni in many locations, professions, and service. The more you are involved, the more benefit you will gain as an alumnus or alumna of the Hilltop. Here are some simple things to do to be sure you are in the BSC alumni loop.

Call, write, or visit BSC AlumNet each time you change your postal address, employment, phone number, e-mail address, or name.
Let the college and your classmates know what you’re doing. Visit BSC AlumNet to send news for 'Southern magazine to the Alumni Office.
Be a volunteer. If you are willing to be an alumni-admission ambassador, help with your local chapter, or call classmates for the annual fund e-mail the alumni office at alumni@bsc.edu.
