Admitted students experienced Birmingham-Southern at the Select 'Southern event held on March 2-3, 2014.
College is a time to make new friends and explore new things, and there's no better place than BSC to do that.
Life on the Hilltop is as varied and exciting as our student body, with more than 80 student religious, service, cultural, musical, athletic, social, recreational, and honorary organizations including fraternities and sororities, choirs, theatre, school publications and much more. Enjoy late-night coffee, music or poetry in the Attic; a swim in the pool or grilling out on the residence hall quad; or a football game or theater performance.
Life here centers around our residence halls; more than 85 percent of students live on campus. You’ll meet with friends, faculty—and sometimes even the college president!—in the Caf, our dining hall. Or grab a bite at two convenience stores and a Subway Café, where you can also shoot a game of pool.
The Striplin Fitness Center has a workout room, two basketball/volleyball courts, two racquetball courts, a suspended indoor running/walking track, a swimming pool, an aerobics room, and locker room facilities.
There are weekly opportunities to experience religious life. Students of all faiths find their place at BSC.
