Employee Benefits
The college offers a wide range of benefits for faculty and staff. Please review the benefits pages via links for an overview of the types of coverage available.
The college offers two health insurance plans: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and VIVA Health. The college pays 75% of the college’s contribution to the lesser priced plan for employee, two-person, and family coverage. In addition, two dental plans are offered through Delta Dental. The College funds the dental insurance at 50% of the Base plan. The amount funded for the Buy-Up plan will match the dollar amount funded for the Base plan.
Other valuable components of the benefits package include vision, life, AD & D insurance, TIAA-CREF retirement, a flexible benefit plan, tuition remission, and other optional insurance plans. The college must reserve the right to modify its benefits programs as circumstances dictate. However, the college will always endeavor to provide the most attractive benefits package possible.
