Monthly Payment Plan Instructions and Application Form
The Monthly Payment Plan option is an interest free 10-month payment plan covering the annual cost of tuition, fees, room, meal plan, and books for the academic year reduced by any awarded financial aid. The cost to participate is $50.
Before getting started you’ll need access to Microsoft Excel, 2008-09 Tuition and Fees and your Financial Award Letter to complete the Monthly Payment Plan Application.
The MPP Application form automatically calculates a monthly payment amount based on the figures you input. This payment amount is only an estimate, so please don’t worry about being exact. It’s impossible to know the entire year’s expenses in advance. For that reason, participants are required to compare monthly student account statements to the original application form EACH month and pay any differences that were not estimated. Drafts are NOT adjusted for miscellaneous charges.
Students who wish to include books on the payment plan must charge their books to their BSC Student Account. To charge books to the student account, complete a Meal Plan/Bookstore form requesting an amount to be added to the BSC Campus Card. The requested funds are placed on the BSC Campus Card for use in the Bookstore. A common mistake participants make is because they have estimated Bookstore funds for the entire year on the MPP Application form, that those funds will automatically be added to the Campus Card. The MPP Application form does not add the funds to the card. Students must complete a Bookstore Form each semester.
A late fee of $50 is charged to applications received after July 31st. A $10 fee is charged for adjustments made after the form has been submitted.
Payments are drafted on the 15th. (Aug 15th – May 15th) NO EXCEPTIONS. Returned drafts are subject to a $30 fee and may result in expulsion from the plan. BSC reserves the right to deny participation based on previous payment history.

CHARGES:
- Use the 08-09 Tuition and Fees brochure or visit the link above.
- Tuition is the same cost for 3-5 courses.
- Mandatory fees are charged each semester.
- Add 50% more for private dorm rooms.
- Bookstore Estimate is approximately $1,100.00
- Estimate at least one lab fee based upon the Student’s interest.
- Miscellaneous: Consider estimating for immunizations, t-shirts, tickets, etc.
FINANCIAL AID:
- Enter awarded scholarships. List name of scholarship and annual amount.
- Enter loan amounts: SOME LENDERS DEDUCT ORIGINATION FEES (up to 3%)
- Your net loan amount may be less than awarded amount. Check with your lender.
- DO NOT INCLUDE THE ALABAMA STATE GRANT OR WORKSTUDY FUNDS.
- PACT Programs pay per semester hour. Therefore, an estimate is used.
- Include a down payment if you would like to reduce your monthly payment amount. (The down payment must be received in the same week the form is received.)
STEP 3: Select Payment Method
Choose either automatic bank drafts or credit/debit card drafts.
STEP 4: Sign and Fax or Email back to the Student Accounts Office by JULY 31ST.
