Mandatory Residential Meal Plan
All students who are on-campus residents are required to purchase a declining balance meal plan. The meal plan options that are provided under the declining balance program include a light, medium, and hearty plan. The light meal plan is the minimum requirement for all on-campus students, but you have the option of upgrading to the medium or hearty plan if your eating habits or needs are greater than what the light plan offers.
The difference in the meal plans is the beginning dollar amount. Each meal plan is based on a starting dollar amount and is reduced after each purchase. Meal plans are not limited to a certain number of meals per day.
Meal plans DO NOT ROLLOVER to the next term. If you are on the light meal plan and do not use all of your dining dollars you lose them. On the medium or hearty options, you are still required to use the light meal plan dollar amount. However, the unused portion above the light meal plan dollar amount will be credited to your student account as a meal plan credit.
Should you run low on meal plan money you may add to your meal plan balance by completing an online Meal Plan form. Your student account will be billed for the addition. Any dollars that you add over the light meal plan are refundable.
Commuter Meal Plan
Commuter students are not required to purchase a meal plan but may take advantage of either a commuter meal plan or adding dining dollars to the Campus Card in $50 increments. Unused commuter dollars are refundable back to the student account at the end of the academic year.
