Apply: Degree-Seeking Students

As part of the application process, all degree-seeking international students must show proof of financial support in order to be issued with a Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student).

The following checklist may be helpful as you prepare your BSC application packet:

Are you coming to BSC from abroad?

In order to apply to BSC as an F-1 student, you need to submit the following documents to the Office of Admission (a complete international student application will contain all of the following information):

Are you already in the U.S.?

If you are currently in the U.S. in F-1 status and will be transferring to BSC from an institution or high school in the U.S., you need to submit to the Office of Admission the documents listed above plus copies of paperwork proving your current immigration status. This paperwork includes (but is not limited to):

  • I-20 and any previous I-20s
  • Visa page in your passport
  • I-94 arrival stamp in your passport
