Study Abroad at BSC

South AmericaWhether you want to travel abroad or learn more about international culture right here on the Hilltop, we invite you to visit the Sklenar Center and get involved with the international community on campus.

We feel that international experience is fundamental to a liberal arts education and helps students develop academically, personally and professionally. All members of our college community should have the opportunity to travel abroad, meet people from other cultures, develop friendships and networks, and enhance their language skills.

Foreign travel is important, but it’s not all that the Sklenar Center does. We also advise international students and scholars and have a slew of global initiatives. Click here to see some of the other exciting programs available to students, from foreign languages, cultures and films to our Model UN program.

Our main programs are:

Study Abroad
SCIP encourages the development of globally-engaged students through advising, preparation and support for study abroad/exchange programs, international internship and research opportunities and the interaction with international students and scholars on campus.

International Student and Scholar Advising Services
SCIP provides assistance to foreign students and scholars during their experiences at BSC through immigration advising, orientation, cultural training, advocacy and cross-cultural programing.

Global Engagement Initiatives
SCIP provides programs and creates connections that offer opportunities to explore global issues and to have access to cross-cultural perspectives and experiences that enhance the overall BSC experience.
