International Tutoring

Our first task in approaching another people…another culture…another religion… is to take off our shoes, for the place we are approaching is holy. Else we may find ourselves treading on another's dream.

What is it?

Working with International residents in the area to help them enhance their English speaking and writing skills.

Who is the client?

An international person who wishes to learn the English language and the American culture. Clients range from students to adults to children.

What do I need to have?

  • You don’t need to know another language besides English
  • Kind, caring concern.

How much time does it take?

Including travel time: 1 ½ hours.

When is it?

Monday nights 7-8 pm - Meet at the Norton Campus Center on the second floor.

What if…

I'm running late?

Arrive when you can. If you need a ride and are going to be late, call the project coordinator, Whitney Williams, wawillia@bsc.edu

I decide I don't want to do International Tutoring anymore?

Inform our office (4720) and share the reasons with us. We will use the information to improve the program.
