Student Leaders in Service

June 17-22, 2012

Student Leaders in Service is a week-long residential program for high school students who will be juniors or seniors in the 2012-2013 academic school year. The program will provide opportunities to learn about leadership, community engagement, and active citizenship through community service, simulations, seminars, and discussions, while giving students a taste of college life.

Lead: Practice, theorize, and reflect on the purposes, aims, and methods of leadership.

Serve: Participate in community service across Birmingham: work with children, the environment, the working poor and others in need.

Explore BSC: Participate in classroom exercises with Birmingham-Southern College faculty and community partners, discover the campus, meet current students, and spend five nights in a BSC residence hall.
