Why should I complete Distinction in Leadership Studies when I already have a major and perhaps a minor?
The Distinction in Leadership Studies program gives you the opportunity to examine leadership issues in depth, something that does not always happen in other classes. It helps you to grow your own leadership and public speaking skills and become a leader in your field of study. By completing Distinction in Leadership Studies, you also show a potential employer or graduate school that you have put forth extra effort to intentionally study leadership, which can really make you stand out as a candidate.
Can I graduate with Distinction in Leadership Studies if I am in the Harrison Honors Program?
Some students will decide that they wish to complete both programs. It is possible, and many students have chosen this path. You must plan your schedule carefully to meet the requirements of both programs. Several Designated Leadership Studies courses are also Honors courses.
