The mission of the Birmingham-Southern College Fine Arts Society (FAS) is to encourage community support of the college’s fine and performing arts programs. FAS members are ticket subscribers who create an audience and boost attendance at the season’s ticketed theatre and dance productions on campus. Members also attend receptions following many performances and events and support music concerts and visual art exhibitions.

The Fine Arts Society includes community and college volunteers who are both patrons of the arts and who are dedicated to preserving and advancing the arts and artists at Birmingham-Southern. Through their generous donations of time and resources, members create a positive environment that enhances the enjoyment of the audiences and enriches BSC student learning. In addition, society members support the efforts of talented BSC student performers.

FAS memberships are offered yearly at three levels: Basic Membership ($125), Patron Membership ($200), and Benefactor Membership ($250). Benefits include pre-paid tickets that must be reserved or confirmed before each performance; invitations to the fall Starlight Supper Membership Season Preview; invitations to pre-theatre dinner lectures as well as other pre-performance events; the season calendar; a quarterly arts calendar announcing all dance, theatre, and music performances and art opening night receptions and exhibitions; and other arts-related college events.

The three support levels for the BSC Fine Arts Society:

Member—$125

As an FAS Member, you are entitled to reserve two season tickets to each event and you will receive the college’s bimonthly arts calendar and invitations to special arts events.
(Tax Deductible Gift: $25)

Patron—$200

As a Fine Arts Society Patron, you are entitled to the Member package, and you are recognized in the theatre programs as a contributor to arts projects at Birmingham-Southern.
(Tax Deductible Gift: $100)

Benefactor—$250

As a Fine Arts Society Benefactor, you are entitled to reserve four season tickets to each event, and you will receive the college’s bimonthly arts calendar and invitations to special arts events. Benefactors are recognized in the theatre programs as major contributors to arts events at Birmingham-Southern.
