My primary research program involves the exploration of womenâ€™s status hierarchies, with a central focus on conspicuous/luxury consumption as one method women use to jockey for status. I intend to broaden the knowledge base concerning what motivates women to conspicuously consume by identifying the interpersonal benefits accrued by women who display cues indicative of high status.

A laboratory course designed to introduce students to experimental research design, statistical theory and techniques, and computer data analysis. Laboratory required. Open only to PY or PY-interdisciplinary majors, or by consent.
