Brief Career Background:

Kent Andersen started teaching at the College in 1999. In addition to introductory writing courses, he also teaches courses in science fiction and leadership studies. While at the College, Kent has been involved with both the leadership studies programs and the service-learning programs, regularly serving as a faculty advisor for Interim term service projects.

EH 102 Introduction to Writing (1)
Techniques of expository prose. Prerequisite: placement by English faculty.

EH 212 Introduction to Science Fiction (1)
An introduction to science fiction from the late nineteenth century to the present. This course introduces literary study through a focused examination on science fiction, including the interpretation of science fiction and the study of science fiction in cultural context.

LS 200 Leadership Studies: Theory and Practice (1)
An introduction to the academic study of leadership from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Not limited to students in the Leadership Studies Program. Prerequisite: sophomore standing.
