Urban Environmental Studies Internships
Guidelines
Program Overview:
Students selected to serve as urban environmental studies interns will have the unique opportunity to serve with a local agency focusing on environmental education, environmental monitoring, restoration projects, land acquisition and preservation, or environmental policy.
Previous interns have served with Freshwater Land Trust and the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center.
The internships afford students the opportunity to learn about conservation efforts, sustainable growth, and public and private funding for environmental programs.
Additionally, students are encouraged to think broadly about how their internship relates to their liberal arts education and complements their academic pursuits and interests.
