Birmingham-Southern College admits students at the beginning of any academic term.

Students interested in enrolling at the College should contact the Office of Admission for

application procedures and requirements. All application information and related forms

are available on the Birmingham-Southern College website.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

The College admits students whose ability, training, motivation, and interests indicate

that they are able to complete college work. The course of study and quality of work done

in high school is taken into consideration when a student applies for admission.

Birmingham-Southern College believes all students have the potential to succeed and that

test scores may not be the best indicator of a student's abilities. With that in mind, the

College has a test-optional admission policy where applicants interview and submit an

academic portfolio in lieu of standardized test scores. The portfolio can include (but is

not limited to) the following: entrepreneurial proposal, community service project, or

graded research paper. Additionally, all students submitting a test-optional application

must complete an interview.

To be admitted to Birmingham-Southern College as a first-year student, an applicant
