GWS 200 Introduction to Gender and Women Studies (1)
An introduction to the concepts and issues concerning the field
of gender and women studies. By nature, this introductory course
takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore topics relating to the
field of gender and women studies. Placed within a historical and
contemporary context, students examine topics ranging from feminist
philosophy, gender roles and stereotypes, gender development,
sexuality and relationships, sexual identity, workplace issues, legal
challenges, women in media, violence against women, and global
feminism.
