Community Partners
To offer campus constituencies assistance in locating community service opportunities and connecting with local organizations
Whether students would like to tutor at local schools or learn more about the causes and effects of poverty, The Bunting Center provides a variety of community partnerships in which all students are invited to participate. Each partner is student-initiated and student-coordinated and allows students to develop real relationships with community organizations while fostering and strengthening BSC's partnerships with the surrounding community. To get involved, simply contact the student coordinator listed on the project's page.
Students who have an idea for a partnership or would like to become a liaison, should come talk to Bunting Center staff. There they can connect with local organizations and get assistance in starting a new partnership. In the past, students have worked with Meals on Wheels, Woodlawn High School and The Old Firehouse Shelter. Bunting Center staff can help with planning, resourcing and advertising to interested students.
