The Bunting Center embodies the belief that “the purpose of education is to make the world a better place” as espoused by John Dewey, philosopher-educator-reformer. The Bunting Center embodies not only service but also learning through service and is being integrated throughout the curriculum.
The Bunting Center offers a variety of Ongoing Projects: an Alternative Spring Break; local, national and international Interims in Service-Learning; a database of volunteer opportunities; and a listing of classes that integrate service into their curriculums. Other service opportunities include our Afternoon of Service, Meal Card Drive, Hunger Banquet, clothing drives, and voter registration and education efforts. Check out the above links to learn more about how you can get involved.
For additional information on Service-Learning, call, e-mail, or stop by our offices (across from the Norton computer lab). We’ll look forward to meeting you!
