The Center for Critical Thinking (CCT)Critical Thinking Illustration

Situated at the heart of a liberal arts education and the concept of information fluency are critical thinking skills. The goal of the Critical Thinking Center at Birmingham-Southern College is to facilitate the development and refinement of critical thinking skills and to promote the purposeful, deliberate infusion of critical thinking across the curriculum by providing a variety of resources on critical thinking.

For more information, visit the Web site of the Foundation and Center for Critical Thinking, two sister educational non-profit organizations which aim to improve instruction in primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. They offer conferences and professional development programs, emphasizing assessment, research, instructional strategies, Socratic questioning, critical reading and writing, higher order thinking, quality enhancement, and competency standards.
