FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
FERPA is a federal law that protects information the College has about students, including transcripts and grade reports. The act limits the information faculty and staff can share about a student's record at the College without that student's consent.
Information about the application of FERPA at the College can be obtained through the Records office. Faculty and staff are encouraged to use the Records office FERPA tutorial.
Detailed information about FERPA and the privacy rights of students can be found at the U.S. Department of Education web site.
