Writing Placement
A general discussion of placement at the College can be found at the placement page.
As part of the Explorations curriculum requirement in Effective Communication, all students must successfully complete EH 102 or EH 208. A student with an AP score of five on the English grammar examination or an IB score of six or seven receives credit for EH 102 and is placed automatically in EH 208. All other students are placed by the English faculty according to ACT or SAT test scores.
