Exploration Term

During January, each student enrolls in an intensive, month-long project or course. Because students focus on only one course during interim, and the courses are creative and unusual, exploration term provides students with a rich educational experience.

Because of its emphasis on experiential learning, Exploration Term is an ideal time for students to engage in independent study or research, pursue challenging internships, and immerse themselves in group or individual study-travel. In particular, Exploration Term is perfectly suited for travel projects that fulfill the Civic Engagement requirements in Global Perspectives and Community Interests in the Explorations Curriculum.
