Service Learning
Service hours are not a requirement for students at the College, however most students participate in some form of community service and/or service-learning. Through the Bunting Center for Engaged Study and Community Action, the College offers a variety of opportunities, which are open to all students regardless of major or prospective career path. Students might volunteer individually or through a campus organization, enroll in a course with a service component, develop an independent contract with a professor, participate in an alternative spring break experience, or participate in a service-learning Exploration term project. The College also offers internships in leadership and service through the Hess Center Fellows program. Further information about the service learning program can be found at the Bunting Center home page.
Participation in alternative spring break and service-learning Exploration term projects requires an application.
