Theatre Arts

Information for Non-Majors
Recommended courses and advice for non-majors. The Theatre program recommends that non-majors enroll in ThA 100 Introduction to Theatre, ThA 110 Introduction to Stagecraft, or ThA 120 Beginning Acting. Of course, non majors may also audition for and participate in productions, and will be considered for cast and crew positions. The Theatre Handbook is available online at the Theatre home page.
Information for Majors
Advice for majors. The theatre faculty recommends that majors enroll in the acting courses, ThA 120 Beginning Acting, ThA 220 Voice and Diction, and ThA 320 Intermediate Acting, as early as possible.
Explorations curriculum requirement in Connectivity. All students must complete a scholarly senior seminar, Exploration term, or independent study as deemed appropriate by disciplinary faculty in the major. Theatre satisfies this requirement through ThA 499 Senior Exploration Term.
All majors at the College require a senior conference. Theatre satisfies this requirement through the public presentation, design, or performance of work completed in the senior Exploration term.
