Education/ Teacher Certification

Information for Non-Majors
Recommended courses and advice for non-majors. The education faculty recommends that non-majors enroll in ED 201 Introduction to Education, EPy 223 Human Growth and Development, EPy 260 Survey of Exceptional Children, EPy 330 Educational Psychology.
Information for Majors
Advice for majors and/or students seeking certification. The education faculty recommends that students interested in gaining teaching certification choose an advisor in education early in their academic career.
Explorations curriculum requirement in Connectivity. All students must complete a scholarly senior seminar, Exploration term, or independent study as deemed appropriate by disciplinary faculty in the major. Specific requirements for the senior conference vary with each education major.
All majors at the College require a senior conference. Students in education are required to conduct research and present the results publicly.
