Information for Non-Majors
Recommended courses and advice for non-majors. The biology faculty recommend that non-science majors enroll in BI 101 Explorations in Biology, BI 103 Introduction to Forensic Science: Using Science to Solve Crimes, or BI 149 Cancer: Biology and Beyond.
Pre-health students and students who plan to major in one of the natural sciences are encouraged to enroll in BI 115 Organismal Biology.
Information for Majors

All students must complete a scholarly senior seminar, Exploration term, or independent study as deemed appropriate by disciplinary faculty in the major. Biology satisfies this requirement through two units in one of the following sequences: BI 470 and 472, or BI 470 and 499.
All majors at the College require a senior conference. Biology satisfies this requirement through the presentation of student research at the Science and Mathematics Senior Conference.
