II.D.4. Office of Institutional Advancement
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
The Vice President for Institutional Advancement is responsible for coordinating all fund-raising
efforts of the College and for helping present an appropriate image of the College to the public.
With the President, this officer designs and implements capital gifts programs as needed. The
Vice President for Institutional Advancement also provides the leadership for an active alumni
program.
II.D.5. Office of Student Affairs
Vice President for Student Affairs
The Vice President for Student Affairs supervises the College's responsibility for the
non-academic life of students on campus: residence halls, health services, student organizations,
counseling center, and co-curricular program development. Since Faculty members often serve
as counselors to students with personal problems, they should report to or confer with this officer
about any students who seem to have personal problems affecting their academic performance.
Faculty may also report these problems to the Provost.
Dean of Students
The Dean of Students works with a variety of student organizations, including the Honor
Council, the Student Conduct Council, the Student Government Association, and the fraternities
and sororities.
Director of Residence Life
The Director of Residence Life coordinates all aspects of campus housing. This includes the
selection, training, and supervision of the housing staff; supervision of residence life discipline;
and the coordination of residence hall room assignments and changes.
II.D.6. Office of the Controller
Associate Vice President for Finance
The Associate Vice President for Finance is the chief financial officer of the College.
II.D.7. Vice President for Administration
This individual is responsible for the College’s facilities and grounds, maintenance and
operations, human resources, bookstore, food services, post office, print shop, and campus
police. This office also incorporates research and strategic planning functions of the College.
